1. Shows should be fully produced and rehearsed.
2. Performing groups are responsible for all crew, equipment, props etc needed for their show that are not provided as standard by the venue.
3. Performers must produce their own individual publicity materials.
4. Slots for most shows will be around one hour long with 15 minutes each side for get-in/get-out (longer shows by arrangement with Oxfringe and venue).
5. Performing groups are responsible for public liability insurance or performing/entertainment licences where they are not provided by the venue, and for securing any performing rights required for their show.
6. Oxfringe is not liable for the content of any show performed as part of Oxfringe 2010. Performers and performing companies are responsible for issuing warnings to potential audiences about any aspect of the content of their show that might be considered offensive, or be considered unsuitable for children.
7. Performers and venue managers will be jointly responsible for health and safety matters.
8. Performers will make available free tickets for Oxfringe volunteer ushers and box office staff, usually up to a maximum of two per performance, but this may be more for large venues, and one free ticket for press per performance.
9. Oxfringe requests that each show makes available two free tickets per show for Oxfringe Review staff and for this we will (1) review your show and post the review on our website (2) consider your show for an Oxfringe 5 Star Award. If you don’t want us to review your show and don’t want to be entered for an Oxfringe 5 Star Award, you have the right to decline this offer.
10. If we receive a request from a review company or a member of the press for free tickets, we will check this with you first and ask that you respond within 48 hours.
11. Oxfringe will endeavour to ensure that venue information on our website is accurate but cannot accept liability for inaccuracies or for any unforeseen withdrawal of venues and reserves the right to increase venue hire charges prior to contract, should additional costs arise.
12. Oxfringe Venue Slot for hire will be on offer from the opening of performer registration. Successful shows will be advised and slots allocated on an on-going basis. Companies and individuals will then be invoiced for the registration and venue hire fees and will have 10 days to make this payment, otherwise the slot will be offered to another show.
13. Shows will only be included in the Oxfringe 2010 brochure (circ. 30,000+) provided registration and venue fees have been paid in full and where necessary contracts signed and returned by 14 December 09 Failure to comply will mean we cannot publish your show details in the brochure.
14. For ticketed shows at venues without its own on-line box office facility, 50% of advance ticket sales will be made available for sale through Beem Mobile Money.
15. Financial arrangements for each genre and venue will vary and could include a venue hire fee or facilities fee. Details are available from the Oxfringe team or their nominated genre or venue co-ordinator.
16. All prices quoted are in £ Sterling. We endeavour to ensure that the information shown on the website is as accurate as possible. We cannot be held responsible for typographical errors on this site, including but not limited to those regarding price. We reserve the right to make changes to our website including prices, products, ingredients and terms and conditions without any notice being given. All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn from sale at any time. If for any reason goods ordered are not available you may be offered an alternative.
17. Our privacy policy: we will NOT share your details with any third party, other than potential venues in order to get the best location arranged for you. All data collected by us is stored on a secure server.
18. Data Protection Act 1998. We are required to follow eight guiding principles laid down by the Act. These are: fairly and lawfully processed; processed for limited purposes; adequate, relevant and not excessive; accurate and up-to-date; not kept for longer than is necessary; processed in line with the data subject’s rights; secure; and Not transferred to a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), unless that country ensures the protection of the rights of the individual to whom the data relate.
19. Your account. If you use the website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that the password is kept confidential and secure and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that Your password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner.
20. We will do our utmost to ensure that availability of the website will be uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, due to the nature of the internet, this cannot be guaranteed. Your access to the website may also be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction.
21. Copyright. All content included on the website, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, and images belong to us, and are protected by United Kingdom and international copyright laws.
22. We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
